| 미 8군 골프장 이전지에 대한 서울시 현상설계로 도시의 일상생활에서 쉽게 접하기 어렵고, 우리 모두가 그리워하는 공간으로서 도시의 열린 마당을 조성하고자 하였다. 기존의 잘 가꾸어진 자연환경을 최대한 활용하여 도시민에게 자연의 접촉기회를 부여하며, 일상생활과 쉽게 접하며 다양한 이용계층과 공간요구를 수용할 수 있는 도시 여가활동의 장을 제안하였다. 상징적으로“자주”이념을 구현하며, 기능적으로 서울의 도시공간구조에 합리적으로 대응하는 ‘범시민적 자유 개방공간’을 제공하도록 하였다.
Response to the relocating the Eighth United States Army golf course, Seoul city collects ideas and wanted to create the open space that should be easy to access to everyone who really misses old poetic public place. Our project maximized the usage of existing local natural system and success to provide great accessibility. The idea also suggests the place where different social level will easily access and satisfy their demand for public space. The idea embodied the concept of ‘independence’ and city’s urban space structure well response to the concept and is able to provide ‘pan-citizens’ open space.
